3. New Hyundai Santro
The Santro brand was the most important product for the Korean giant, which had set the ball rolling for Hyundai in India. Launched in late 1990s, the vehicle became an instant popular among first time car buyers in the country. The iconic Santro brand is set to mark its re-entry in the Indian market. With the entry-level space becoming more and more exciting, this one is our favorite among upcoming Hyundai cars at Auto Expo 2018.
The new Santro will come as a replacement to the i10 brand, which was discontinued in late 2016. In Hyundai’s product lineup, the small car will be positioned between the Grand i10 and Eon. This time around, the Santro will have some new rivals such as Tata Tiago and Renault Kwid.
Set for a generation change, the Santro will feature an evolutionary design along with a new set of powertrains. While the previous model had tall-boy design, the next Santro is likely to get sharp, crossover-ish styling. Hyundai might showcase the concept version of the car, while the production-spec model could be rolled out by the end of 2018.
