Hyundai Aura Subcompact Sedan To Debut Next Month

Hyundai Aura Launch Details

Hyundai recently announced the all-new Aura subcompact sedan for the Indian market. The carmaker has already begun testing the vehicle and revealed its engine details a couple of days ago.

According to a fresh media report, the Hyundai Aura will debut next month (i.e. December, 2019). Its launch is likely to happen at the Auto Expo in February, 2020. The Aura will be the successor to the Xcent, however, the latter one will continue to be retailed alongside the new model.

The all-new subcompact sedan from Hyundai will be made available with two petrol and a diesel engine option. The petrol motors will include a 1.2L Kappa Dual VTVT and 1.0L turbo GDI pushing out a maximum power of 81bhp with 114Nm and 118bhp with 172Nm respectively. The carmaker might de-tune the Venue’s 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine for the Hyundai Aura. The 1.2L U2 CRDi diesel engine will be carried over from the newly-launched Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.

The oil burner makes a top power of 74bhp with 190Nm of torque. The Aura carline will be offered with multiple gearbox options including a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 5-speed AMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
