Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has finally commenced deliveries of its all-new 160cc sport bike – the X-Blade. Priced at Rs 78,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new motorcycle comes with multiple segment first features. For the record, Honda claims that the X-Blade delivers “high acceleration”, sporty performance and better load carrying capacity.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “The aggressive and futuristic new X-Blade has been designed for millennials and Gen-Z. As promised, we have started the dispatches of X-Blade in March 2018. Honda’s new sport bike derives its power from a 162.71cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled HET engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The power and torque figures stand at 13.93bhp at 8,500rpm and 13.9Nm of torque at 6,000rpm respectively. The bike comes in a choice of three metallic colour options – Matte Frozen Silver Metallic, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic and Matte Marshal Green Metallic along with Pearl Igneous Black and Pearl Spartan Red shades.
Some of its design bits include LED headlamp (segment-first), a 9 LED position lamp setup, razor edged LED tail lamp, sculpted fuel tank, sharp grab rail, a rear tyre hugger fender and a dual outlet muffler with a chrome tip. The bike makes use of the 130mm rear tyre and mono shock rear suspension for offering better handling around corners. Features such as a long seat, hazard switch, seal chain and a street tech digital meter with a service due indicator, digital clock and a gear position indicator are also on offer.
