Honda WR-V Hits 50,000 Sales Mark In Just 1 Year

Top-end VX variant accounted for 80% of total Honda WR-V sales.

Honda Cars India has announced that its premium Sports Lifestyle Vehicle Honda WR-V has crossed 50,000 cumulative sales milestone in India in one year. Launched in March 2017, the Honda WR-V has received an excellent response from car buyers in India. In fact, this model accounted for 28% of total HCIL sales during the past 12 months.

What’s most interesting is that the top spec (VX) contributed to 80% of total WR-V sales. Additionally, petrol version of the car accounted for 42% sales; rest 58% came from diesel model. Based on the Jazz hatchback, the Honda WR-V is available in both petrol and diesel guise. The diesel version is powered by a 1.5-litre i-DTEC unit producing 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. It is claimed to return an impressive fuel economy of 25.5kmpl. On the other side, the petrol version gets the tried & tested 1.2-litre i-VTEC unit that offers 89bhp and 110Nm. It offers an ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 17.5kmpl.
