It is expected to share the engine and gearbox options with the new Jazz. The subcompact SUV could receive a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine or a 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine. The company could also launch the hybrid version of the next-gen WR-V. It could also receive a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine producing close to 120bhp and 175Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic gearbox options could be on offer.

A new media report claims that Honda has scrapped the plan of introducing a subcompact SUV in India. This model is most likely to be introduced in Japan and South American markets, where it will rival the Hyundai Venue, Toyota Raize, etc.
