November 28, 2016 – Honda had launched the ‘Fun to Ride’ crossover – Honda Navi – at the Delhi Auto Expo in February 2016. The crossover reminds of Hero Puch moped, which was popular among first time two-wheeler buyers in India. The Navi is positioned somewhere between the scooter and the bike, and targets young buyers. This crossover has achieved impressive sales in a short span of time. In a bid to meet the rising demand, Hero Motorcycle and Scooter India is planning to ramp-up its production to around 1 lakh units soon.

The company is also offering several customisation kits for the Honda Navi, which allow customer to make more changes to the overall styling of the crossover. The new Honda Navi cross is priced at Rs 39,648 ex-showroom, New Delhi. One can book this motorcycle by paying a token amount of Rs 1,000 via an android application called ‘NAVI’. Called ‘India’s first two-wheeler crossover’, it is claimed to offer agility of a bike and comfort of a scooter. NAVI stands for ‘New Additional Value for India’. Honda Two Wheeler says that the Navi creates a “new segment in fun riding” – an entry-level off-roader. In its standard form, it’s ‘Fun to See’ (Fun-tastic design concept) and pure ‘Fun to Ride’ (powered by a peppy 110cc Honda HET with automatic transmission).
