Honda N7X Concept Based 7-Seater SUV To Unveil In August 2021

Honda has recently unveiled the new N7X concept, which previews the brand’s upcoming 7-seater SUV. A new media report claims that the production version of the Honda N7X SUV will be unveiled in August, 2021. The SUV will come as a replacement for the Honda BR-V crossover, and will rival the Toyota Rush and the Mitsubishi XPander in Indonesia.

The new 3-row Honda N7X based SUV will share the platform and mechanical bits with the City sedan. Honda claims that the new model will offer the best of SUV and MPV body styles, and will be suitable for all type of road conditions.

The concept features an SUV-ish profile with sloping roof. Design highlights include raised bonnet and thick chrome bar on the signature front grille, LED headlamps inspired by the City sedan, dual-LED DRLs setup, wider air-dam and a faux skid plate and brushed aluminium inserts.

The side profile has large glasshouse area, and strong beltline that runs across the length, round wheel arches wit black plastic cladding on the borders, shark fin antenna and roof rails. At the back, the Honda N7X gets split LED tail-lamps with a graphic design similar to the one offered in the City sedan.

Interiors of the new Honda N7X will have similarities with the City sedan. Based on the Honda’s Man Maximum Machine Minimum philosophy, the N7X SUV’s cabin will have a minimalist dashboard with a central touchscreen. It will be offered in 6-and 7-seat layouts.

The Honda N7X SUV is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 121bhp of power and 145Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed MT & a CVT automatic. The SUV could also get a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which is good for 121bhp and 175Nm of torque.
