Honda N7X 7-Seater SUV – New Interesting Details Emerge

In May 2021, the Japanese automaker unveiled the all-new Honda N7X concept that previews the brand’s new 7-seater SUV. In the Indonesian market, the new three-row SUV will be introduced as a replacement to the BR-V. As of now, there is no official word on the N7X concept based SUV’s India arrival. Even if India is on launch radar, the model will be placed against the cars like MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and the newly-launched Hyundai Alcazar. Its production-ready version is reported to debut in August 2021.

Ahead of its official unveiling, the variant and engine details of the new Honda 7-seater SUV have been leaked on the web. As per the leaked information, the model lineup will be spread across four trim levels – S, E, Prestige and Prestige HS. On the engine front, the SUV is likely to get a 1.5L petrol motor with 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options.

While the entry-level trim will be offered with manual transmission only, the higher trims will come with an optional automatic gearbox. It might also be offered with a 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine pushing out a peak power of 121bhp and 175Nm of torque. Rumour has it that the hybrid powertrain will be introduced at a later stage.

The range-topping Honda N7X Prestige HS variant will be equipped with Honda Sensing (HS) technology, which is the brand’s in-house developed advanced driver assist system (ADAS). In terms of design and styling, the production model is likely to stay true to the concept. Check Out – 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback Rendering Looks Pretty Accurate

Upfront, the concept features a multi-slat grille with lots of chrome treatment, slim wraparound headlamps with dual LED DRLs, a clamshell bonnet and an aggressive chi with faux skid plate and brushed aluminum inserts. The bold shoulder line, round wheel arches with black cladding and a large glasshouse adorn its side profile. At the rear section, the Honda N7X SUV concept features the LED taillamps similar to the City sedan.
