Honda India has finally launched the much-awaited Mobilio MPV in the country. The vehice is available in both petrol and diesel guise; the petrol range price starts at Rs. 6.49 lakh, while the entry level diesel model cost Rs. 7.89 lakh. The company also introduced the Mobilio RS sportier version at Rs. 10.86 lakh; however, the deliveries for this model will start from September this year. [Honda Mobilio launched]

The Honda Mobilio is available in 4 trim levels- E, S, V and RS out of which, the RS trim is only offered with diesel powertrain. The Honda Mobilio E is the entry level variant in its model series which is equipped with chrome front grille flanked by halogen headlamps, body coloured front and rear bumpers, black coloured door handles and ORVMs. On comfort and convenience, this model has air conditioner with heater, front and rear power windows, front power window with auto down function, central locking, tilt adjustable steering, fuel consumption display, Eco lamp, cup holders in centre console, bottle holders, 3rd row cup holders, headlight off and ignition key reminder, tachometer etc.

This entry spec model gets single tone beige interiors, while the second row seats can be reclined and fold down 60:40 split. The third row seats can be reclined and fold down 50:50 down. This model gets fabric upholstery; however, it lacks rear AC vents, and chrome inserts. When it comes to safety, the entry level diesel variant has ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), ACE Body, engine immobilizer and seat belt reminder. However, the petrol variant lacks ABS and EBD.

The mid-level S trim features body coloured door handles and outside rear view mirror. Along with the features that are accessible in the lower spec model, this variant also has keyless entry, drivers’ height adjustable seat, Rear defogger, accessory socket, passenger side vanity mirror, double horn, seat back pocket, rear AC vents, chrome rings on Air vents, silver steering wheel garnish and few more. For passengers entertainment, the vehicle has an integrated 2 DIN Audio system (AM/FM Radio, MP3, USB and AUX-in) and steering mounted audio control switch.

The top-spec Honda Mobilio V variant has alloy wheels instead of steel, front fog lamps for clear visibility in foggy conditions, rear wiper with washer, front and rear mudguards, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors and 2nd row centre armrest. This model also has dual tone Beige interior scheme and 2nd seat sliding function. It is equipped with dual front SRS airbags for driver and its co-occupant, front seatbelt pretensioner with load and security alarm.

The sportier Honda Mobilio RS is equipped with bolder and sportier exterior elements. It is equipped with stylish front and rear bumpers, chrome strip on rear bumper, sporty chrome grille flanked by projector headlamps with LED position lamps, retractable outside rear view mirrors with integrated turn indicators, chrome door handles, tailgate spoiler, fog lamp with chrome grarnish, sporty and exclusive alloy wheels, side sill garnish and others.

The Honda Mobilio MPV is available in seven exciting exterior shades including Gold Metallic (New and exclusive), Carnelian Red Pearl, Majestic Blue Metallic, Urban Titanium Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Taffeta White and Crystal Black Pearl (exclusive to RS).

The gasoline version of Honda Mobilio is powered by the 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine producing 117bhp and a peak torque of 145Nm. On the other hand, the oil burner has 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine that develops  98.6bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
