Unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, the Honda Mobilio MPV will be offered in both petrol and diesel guise. The gasoline version of the MPV is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine that also powers the City sedan. This engine is capable of developing a top power output of 117bhp and a peak torque of 145Nm. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. This model is claimed to return an impressive fuel economy of 17.3kmpl which is better than its contemporaries.

The oil burner is propelled by the 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine that produces 99bhp of top power and 200Nm of top torque. This engine is paired to a five-speed manual transmission gearbox which transmits the power to front wheels of the MPV. Interestingly, this model is claimed to be the country’s most fuel efficient MPV. It returns an excellent mileage of 24.2kmpl which again better than most of the sedans and hatchbacks in India.

The Honda Mobilio MPV is 4,386mm long, 1,683mm wide and 1,603mm height, and it has an excellent wheelbase of 2,652mm. Based on the extended version of Brio platform, the Mobilio MPV gets a large ground clearance of 189mm which makes easier to drive it through rugged Indian terrains.
