2019 Honda Civic receives comprehensive upgrades along with a new diesel engine.
Honda Civic, the iconic luxury sedan from the Japanese carmaker, has finally made a comeback in the Indian market. The model launched in India is the facelift version of the saloon’s tenth-generation version. The new Honda Civic 2019 receives comprehensive aesthetic and feature upgrades along with an addition of a new diesel powertrain.
Prices of the new Honda Civic 2019 petrol model start from Rs 17.69 lakh and go up to Rs 20.99 lakh. The diesel variants are made available in the price range of Rs 20.49 lakh – Rs 22.29 lakh. At this price point, the new Civic will take on the Toyota Corolla and Skoda Octavia that cost between Rs 16.45 lakh – Rs 20.19 lakh and Rs 15.99 lakh – Rs 25.99 lakh respectively. For power, the diesel version of the new Honda Civic 2019 makes use of a 1.6L, four-cylinder i-DTEC diesel engine that’s also does duty in the new CR-V. The petrol version, on the other hand, sources its power from 1.8L, four-cylinder i-VTEC motor paired toa CVT gearbox. The power and torque outputs the gasoline unit stand at 139bhp at 6500rpm and 174Nm at 4300rpm respectively.
