Honda City Gets More Standard Safety Features; Prices Remain Unchanged

All variants of the Honda City are now available with speed warning and seatbelt reminder.

Honda Cars India has updated its popular City sedan lineup with speed warning and seatbelt reminder. The news comes in the backdrop of the upcoming safety regulations that mandate airbags, seat belt warning system, speed warning system, reverse parking sensors and manual override or central locking system on all four-wheelers from 1st July, 2019. No changes have been made to its pricing. The petrol variants of the Honda City are available in the price range of Rs 9.72 lakh – Rs 14.07 lakh, while the diesel models cost from Rs 11.02 lakh to Rs 14.07 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

All variants of the Honda City offer ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution), engine ECU immobilizer system with anti-theft security alarm, ISOFIX compatible rear side seats, rear parking sensors, and driver and front assistance seatbelt, rear windshield defogger, door ajar and trunk open reminders and indicators. The Honda City petrol comes with a 1.5L i-VTEC SOHC engine that’s good for 119PS and 145Nm of torque. The diesel variants, on the other hand, are powered by 1.5L motor producing 100PS and 200Nm of torque. While mileage figures of the petrol models stand at 17.4kmpl (MT) and 18kmpl (CVT), the diesel variants offer 25.6kmpl (SV and V) and 25.1kmpl (VX, ZX).
