Honda City Gets A New Petrol Variant & 2 New Colours

The Honda City carline gets two new colours – Lunar Silver Metallic and Radiant Red Metallic.

Further expanding its mid-size sedan carline, the Japanese carmaker has introduced a new ZX MT petrol grade of the City sedan. This new manual petrol variant has been priced at Rs 12.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Now, the Honda City carline is available in four grades – SV, V, VX and ZX – with petrol and diesel powertrain options. Besides adding a new variant, the carmaker has introduced two new colour schemes to the sedan lineup – Lunar Silver Metallic and Radiant Red Metallic. The regular three shades are continued to be on offer – Golden Brown Metallic, White Orchid Pearl and Modern Steel Metallic.

Talking about the new Honda City ZX MT petrol grade, the model gets automatic headlamps, R16 diamond cut and finished multi-spoke alloy wheels, automatic rain sensing wipers and headlamp auto off timer. The carmaker also offers LED package with the new variant that includes LED DRLs, fog lamps, headlamps, rear combi lamps, license plate lamps and trunk lid spoiler with LED. The sedan’s new variant also offers an advanced 17.7cm touchscreen infotainment system (Digipad) and electric sunroof with one-touch open/close function with auto-reverse. For safety purpose, the Honda city ZX MT petrol variant get six airbags (dual SRS airbag for driver and front passenger, front side and side curtain airbags). The petrol version of the Honda City sources its power from a 1.5L, four-cylinder i-VTEC engine that’s good for 118bhp and 145Nm of torque. The diesel models, on the other hand, come with a 1.5L, four-cylinder i-DTEC motor generation 99bhp and 200Nm of torque.
