Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has further expanded its premium product lineup with the CB500X adventure tourer. Priced at Rs 6,87,386 (ex-showroom Gurugram), the model is being imported to India via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route. The new Honda adventure tourer will be sold via BigWing dealership network. For power, the new Honda motorcycle uses a 471cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC parallel-twin engine that’s good enough for 47PS at 8,500rpm and 43.2Nm at 6,500rpm. The motor has been paired to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper and assist clutch. Its suspensions system includes 41mm telescopic forks with 150 of travel and 9 position preload adjustable monoshock with 135mm of travel unit at the front and rear axles respectively.
The Honda CB500X comes fitted with 19-inch (110/80 all-terrain tyre) front and 17-inch (160/60 all-terrain tyre) rear alloy wheels. The adventure tourer has 320mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes, which are further assisted by dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). It has full LED lighting system along with features such as a tall adjustable windscreen, a stepped up seat and an upswept exhaust system.
