Honda CB300R Launched In India At Rs 2.41 Lakh

Honda CB300R makes use of a 286cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, single-cylinder engine.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has finally introduced the 2019 Honda CB300R at Rs 2.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India). At this price point, the bike will lock horns against the BMW G 310 R (Rs 2.99 lakh), KTM 390 Duke (Rs 2.43 lakh) and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 (Rs 2.5 lakh). With classic cafe racer design and efficient engine, the Honda CB300R will appeal style-conscious and performance seeking buyers.

Designed on the Honda Neo Sports Cafe concept, the Honda CB300R appears more like a smaller version of the Honda CB1000R. The bike will be retailed via select Honda Wing World dealerships across the nation. At the heart of the 2019 Honda CB300R is a 286cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, single-cylinder engine paired to a 6-speed gearbox. This motor can develop a peak power of 30bhp (22.4kW) at 8000rpm and 27.4Nm of torque at 6500rpm. It offers the best-in-class torque to power ratio from the free revving motor.

Mileage figure of the cafe racer stands at 30.2kmpl. It carries a kerb weight of 143kg, and offers a fuel tank capacity of 10-litre. The 2019 Honda CB300R also gets full LED lighting (LED headlamp, taillamp and turn indicators), a LCD instrument panel with “Peak Hold Function”, a rear monoshock suspension with 7-step preload adjustability, 41mm upside down front forks and the first-in-class IMU based dual channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).

The cafe racer also gets a 296mm petal disc brake with 4-pot callipers and a 2-piston calliper 220mm petal brake at the front and rear axles respectively. The 2019 Honda CB300R comes fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels and 110/70R-17 radial and 150/60R-17 Dunlop radial front and rear tyres.
