The Honda CB125F 125cc commuter motorcycle is likely to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 in February, and is expected to be launched as a replacement for the Honda CB Stunner.
The new Honda CB125F is likely to be launched as a replacement for the Honda CB Stunner, and will be slotted above the CB Shine SP.
The Honda CB125F 125cc might come as a replacement for the Honda CB Stunner, which has already been discontinued from the Indian market.
The new Honda CB125F will be introduced as the company’s flagship product in the 125cc segment. Currently, the Japanese automaker is ruling this segment, thanks to the CB Shine and Shine SP which have been doing really well for the two-wheeler maker. Before launching it in the Indian market, Honda wants to see the response for it at the Auto Expo.
The overall styling of the Honda CB125F resembles the Livo. However, features like multi-spoke alloy wheels and the chiselled fuel tank offers a more sporty look to it. This bike is currently on sale in European markets, where it is equipped with a twin-pod analogue instrument cluster with a tachometer. The bike features a 3D-effect side shrouds, chiselled fuel tank with large extensions and compact nose cowl along with contoured side cowls. The bike rides on a stylish 18-inch six-spoke alloy wheels.
Based on steel frame, the bike comes equipped with telescopic forks up front and twin rear shock absorbers. Powering the new CB125F is a 124.7cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, 2-valve OHC single cylinder engine with balancer shaft. This engine is capable of producing 10bhp of power and 10.2Nm of torque. It is expected that the India-spec model could share engine with CB Shine SP that produces 10.5bhp of power and 10.3Nm of torque.
If media reports are to be believed, the bike could go on sale by the end of this year or early 2017.
