Honda Amaze CNG Variant Spied Testing – Video

We informed you earlier that Honda Amaze will receive a mid-life facelift in August 2021. What’s interesting is that the new Amaze could also receive a CNG variant alongside the regular variant. In fact, the new Honda Amaze CNG variant has been spotted testing.

Increasing fuel prices and decline in diesel sales is the main reason behind increasing interest in CNG powered cars. With rise in fuel prices, the Honda Amaze CNG will definitely make sense. The CNG powered Amaze will prove to be more fuel efficient for buyers, as the running cost is significantly lower than the regular petrol and diesel cars.

Details about the Honda Amaze CNG are yet to be revealed. It is likely to get a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit. The CNG version of the sub-4 meter sedan will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the upcoming CNG versions of the Hyundai Aura and the Tata Tigor.

The 2021 Amaze sedan will come with some design changes and upgraded interior, and will also receive new features. The upgraded model is likely to get new full-LED headlamps, new alloys and revised bumpers, and new colour options. It is likely to receive new upholstery for seats and new interior trim pieces. Honda could add more features to the entry-level variants of the Amaze.

The 2021 Honda Amaze facelift will be powered by a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine in both manual and CVT version. This engine is capable of producing 99bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. With CVT gearbox, the powertrain dishes out 79bhp and 160Nm of torque. The Honda Amaze diesel manual is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 24.7kmpl, while the diesel CVT mileage is 21kmpl.
