Hero MotoCorp had showcased 3 new motorcycles – Xtreme 160R, 2020 Glamour and Passion Pro BS6 at its Hero World 2020 in February. The company has already launched the new Glamour BS6 and Passion Pro BS6 along with the XPulse 200 Rally Kit. The company is yet to introduce the Xtreme 160R, but it is expected to be launched in India next month. The upcoming Hero Xtreme 160R has also been listed on the company’s official website.

The new Hero Xtreme 160R motorcycle comes as a successor to the Xtreme Sports 150, which was recently discontinued from the market. It will rival the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZS and the Suzuki Gixxer. It is likely to undercut its direct rivals in terms of pricing. Hero Xtreme 160R Speed

The new Xtreme 160R is propelled by a BSVI-compliant 160cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine with fuel-injection technology. Paired to a 5-speed gearbox, this engine produces 15bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm.

The upcoming Hero Xtreme 160R has a low kerb weight of 138.5kgs. The company claims that the new motorcycle is the quickest in its category. It is claimed to achieve 0 to 60kmph in just 4.7 seconds. The Hero Xtreme 160R will be offered in 3 dual-tone colours – White & Grey, Blue & Grey and Sports Red & Grey.

Based on the Xtreme 1.R concept unveiled at the 2019 EICMA Motor Show in Milan, the new Hero Xtreme 160R looks sporty and sharper than the 150cc Sport model. Design highlights include LED headlamp, LED tail-lights, LED turn signals, side-stand engine cut off, digital LCD instrument console and lightweight alloy wheels. For braking, the motorcycle gets 276mm front disc and 220mm rear disc.
