Likely to launch in Q1, 2019, the Hero XPulse 200T is a tourer motorcycle based on the XPulse 200 Adventure

It is no secret that Hero MotoCorp is working on a range of new quarter-litre motorcycles for the Indian market. After Xtreme 200R, Hero will launch the new XPulse 200 Adventure and an all-new XPulse 200T Tourer in early 2019. The company had showcased the new Hero XPulse 200T Tourer at the 2018 EICMA. Based on the Xtreme R200 platform, the new motorcycle will be the most affordable Tourer in India. Not just platform, the bike will also share the mechanical bits with the naked streetfighter.

Hero XPulse 200T Launch Date

The homegrown automaker has confirmed that the new XPulse 200T tourer will go on sale in India in the first quarter of 2019. A possible launch in March can’t be ignored. We will update you on the same as soon as Hero announces its official launch date.

Hero XPulse 200T Price In India

Hero MotoCorp is aiming to price its new 200cc bikes competitively. We have already seen this strategy with the Xtreme R200, which is priced quite aggressively against its rivals. Hero XPulse 200T Specifications

The new Hero XPulse 200T is powered by a 200cc four-stroke engine, which also powers the Xtreme R200. This air-cooled, fuel-injected engine gets a single overhead camshaft driving two valves. It is capable of producing a maximum power output of 18bhp and a peak torque of 17Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox. Hero XPulse 200T Mileage

The new Tourer bike is expected to be highly fuel efficient. We believe that this motorcycle could return close to 40kmpl.

Hero XPulse 200T Suspension & Braking

The new XPulse 200T tourer’s suspension system comprises of conventional front forks with long travel and monoshock absorbers at the rear. For braking, the motorcycle gets a 276mm front disc and 220mm rear disc. Adding to it, the bike will get a single-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as standard.

Hero XPulse 200T Design

The new Tourer motorcycle is claimed to offer modern technology in retro styling. Hero claims that the new motorcycle will offer easy and comfortable riding posture and loading capability with its large luggage plate. The motorcycle offers a host of safety and convenience features such as single-channel ABS, LED head and tail-lamps and digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.

The company hasn’t revealed the dimensions of the motorcycle yet. It is likely to carry a ground clearance of around 190mm, while the kerb weight stands at 140kgs.
