Hero Splendor Plus Silver Nexus Blue Colour Variant Costs Rs 72,978

Hero MotorCorp has introduced its top-selling Splendor Plus commuter motorcycle in a new Silver Nexus Blue colour scheme. The new Hero Splendor Plus Silver Nexus Blue colour variant has been priced at Rs 72,978 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Compared to the other standard colour models, it’s around Rs 1,000 more expensive. The bike model lineup is also available in 5 paint options, namely, Matte Shield Gold, Black with Purple, Black with Silver, Black with Sports Red, Heavy Grey with Green.

In the 100cc bike segment, the Hero Splendor Plus takes on the TVS Radeon, Bajaj CT 110 and Honda CD 110 Dream. The new Hero Splendor Plus Silver Nexus Blue colour variant has blue graphics on the side panels and fuel tank. It also features blacked-out alloy wheels as we have seen on the Splendor Plus Xtec. No other changes have been made to the bike.

For power, the Hero Splendor Plus uses a 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that pushes out a peak power of 7.9bhp at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The motor has been boosted with Hero’s i3S idle start/stop system. Transmission duties are done by a 4-speed manual gearbox. The bike’s suspension setup includes telescopic forks at the front and dual spring-loaded shock absorbers at the rear. Braking power comes from the drum brakes at either end and it also available with an integrated braking system.

In other updates, the home-grown two-wheeler maker is ready to roll out its first electric scooter on October 7, 2022. The model will come under Hero’s new Vida sub-brand and it’s likely to be priced around Rs 1 lakh. The new Hero electric scooter has been developed at the company’s Jaipur based R&D hub at the Centre of Innovation and Technology. It will go head-to-head against the Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube.
