Hero MotoCorp has introduced the Black/Accent special edition of the the Splendor Plus just ahead of the festive season. One of the key highlights of the bike’s special edition is its three graphic options that have been selected via Hero CoLabs contest. The winning design themes include Firefly Golden, Beetle Red and Bumble Bee Yellow.
The Firefly Golden theme model has golden shade on bikini fairing, fuel tank areas, tailpiece and side panels. While the Beetle Red theme variant comes with White strikes, the Bumblebee Yellow decal option has thin lines on the fuel tank and side panels. The special decals cost an additional Rs 899 over the base price of the special Black and Accent edition. There is an optional 3D Hero logo that has been priced Rs 1,399. The Hero Splendor Plus Black and Accent edition comes in all ‘All-Black’ avatar featuring black finish on alloy wheels, chain cover and engine. No other visual changes have been made to the bike. In fact, the bike’s special edition comes with the same engine setup. It’s powered by the BS6-compliant 97.2cc, air-cooled engine making power worth 7.9bhp and 8.05Nm of torque. Transmission duties are done by 4-speed gearbox.

The fuel-injected motor comes with i3S start/stop and self-start system. Stopping power comes from 130mm front and rear drum brakes. The Hero Splendor Plus Black and Accent edition has been assembled with 18-inch black alloys and 80/100-18 tubeless tyres. Similar to the regular model, the special features the telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers at the front and rear axle respectively. Dimensionally, the Hero Splendor measures 1970mm in length, 720mm in width and 1040mm in height with a saddle height of 785mm.
