Hero MotoCorp Announces Price Hike From January 2018

Hero MotoCorp has taken this decision to offset the rising input costs.

Most car manufacturers have announced a price hike across their entire product lineup in the country. Now, the largest two-wheeler maker – Hero MotoCorp is planning to increase prices of its all motorcycles from January 1, 2018. Though, the price hike will be marginal – i.e. around Rs 400 per model. The exact amount will vary variant wise and market to market. The home-grown bikemaker has taken this decision to offset the rising input costs.

Just so you know, Hero recently revealed the updated models of its three popular motorcycles – Passion Pro, Passion XPro and Super Splendor. Though, the prices of all three bikes will be announced next month. Check Out – Upcoming Hero Bikes in India

For 2018 model year, the Hero Super Splendor, Passion Pro and Passion XPro have received minor updates and new body graphics. All three bikes use the same engine that does duty in their existing models. Though, the company has tweaked them for achieving more power and torque output.

Besides these updated models, Hero MotoCorp will bring in its long-awaited 200cc streetfighter – Hero Xtreme 200S. This new 200cc motorcycle will see a release around February 2018. The company will also introduce an all-new adventure bike – XPulse’ – that made its debut in its concept avatar at the 2017 EICMA Motor Show in Milan. This entry-level off-roader will make its way to India by mid 2018.

In November 2017, Hero MotoCorp had announced its plan to establish a separate dealership network to sell its premium products. All Hero bikes and scooters with engine capacities of 150cc and above will be retailed via these new outlets.
