Hero New Off-roader

If media reports are to be believed, Hero’s new off-roader will be a 200cc variant of the Hero Impulse. It is expected that the new motorcycle will be launched in the second half of 2018. As a reminder, Hero MotoCorp had launched the Impulse 150 in October 2011; however, the motorcycle has been discontinued owing to its low sales. It seems like the new off-roader will be Impulse 200. The new off-roader is likely to be powered by a 200cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 18.5bhp of maximum power and 17.2Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the wheels via a five-speed gearbox. In order to meet needs of dual-purpose motorcycles, Hero could tune this engine to offer higher torque. It is expected that the new dual-purpose bike could share features and components with the Xtreme 200 naked sibling. This bike could get LED headlights and taillight, all-digital instrument console and ABS system as optional.
