Hero Electric Flash comes with a 250W electric motor offering a range up to 65km in a full charge.

Hero Electric has introduced the most affordable electric scooter in India. Called the Hero Electric Flash, this scooter comes with a price tag of Rs 19,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Interestingly, buyers don’t need to have a driving licence to ride the scooter as it can be ridden up to 40kmph only.

Powering the Hero Electric Flash is a 250W electric motor that is capable to cover a distance of 65km in a full charge. Its 48V/20AH battery can be fully charged within 6 to 8 hours. The new Hero electric scooter has an electronic speed limit of 25kmph.  The Hero Electric Flash carries a kerb weight of 87kgs, and rides on 16-inch lightweight mag alloy wheels.

The Flash is being offered in two colour options – Burgundy and Silver. The telescopic forks up front and twin spring shock absorbers rear setup takes care of the suspension duties. The braking system of the scooter comprised of front and rear drum brakes. For emergency situations, the Hero Electric Flash has short circuit protection. This electric scooter comes with a warranty of two years..

In an interview with ETAuto, Naveen Munjal MD, Hero Eco group said “with Flash we wanted to break the 20,000-25,000 price barrier. We wanted to tell customers that we have something which is reasonable so we took away features that weren’t required at entry level. Seeing this they can decide from the range of products we have.”
