The first spy pictures of the new Hero electric bike have emerged on the web ahead of its debut at the Auto Expo 2020. Visually, the bike looks similar to the conventional 150-160cc naked street motorcycles. You can notice the alloy wheels, flat wide handlebars and a split seat. For performing suspension duties, the new Hero electric bike will have telescopic front and a monoshock rear unit. The bikemaker might offer a full digital instrument console on the vehicle. It might also come with the built-in navigation, remote diagnostics and smartphone connectivity features.

As of now, the powertrain details of the new Hero electric bike are not available. It’s likely to offer a maximum speed of around 80kmph. The bike will deliver a claimed range of 120km on a full charge. More details on the new Hero electric bike will be revealed at its unveiling event. The new Hero electric bike is estimated to be priced round Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Its launch might happen at the biennial event on 5th February, 2020. Hero’s Ludhiana, Punjab based facility will serve as production hub for the new premium electric motorcycle. The plant has an annual installation capacity of 1 lakh units.

Recently, Hero Electric rolled out the Flash electric scooter at a starting price of Rs 29,000 (ex-showroom). The company is offering a limited time discount offer of Rs 7,090 along with Paytm benefits of up to Rs 10,500 on the scooter lead-acid and entire lithium-ion range. The Hero Flash electric scooter comes with a 48V battery promising a range of around 50km on a single charge. It takes 8 hours to get fully charged. Some of its key features include LED headlamps, regenerative braking system and mobile charging facility.
