Hero AE-47 Electric Bike, AE-29 and AE-8 Scooters Unveiled

Hero Electric has showcased a new range of its electric bike and scooters at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020. All the unveiled models will see a release in coming months. The company has revealed the all-new Hero AE-47 electric bike along with the Hero Comfort Series AE-29 and Hero Trend Series AE-8 electric scooters. There is a new electric trike that will hit showrooms in late 2020.

Talking about the Hero AE-47, the electric motorcycle is powered by a 4kW motor paired to a 3.5kWh lithium-ion battery. It is capable to do 0 to 60kmph in 9 seconds. Claimed to a ‘high-speed’ bike, the AE-47 delivers a maximum speed of 85kmph. One can charge its battery in four hours.

The new Hero electric bike promises a range of 160km in Eco mode and 85km in Power mode. It’s the first and most premium electric bike from homegrown two-wheeler maker. Design of the Hero AE-47 looks similar to the premium 150-160cc motorcycles. The fuel tank, 17-inch alloy wheels and split seat look quite conventional.

The electric bike has a sculpted battery compartment with a flat and wide handlebar. It comes with the front telescopic suspension and rear monoshock suspension. The Hero AE-47 comes equipped with a digital instrument console, geo-fencing, real-time tracking, GPS, GPRS, cruise control, keyless access, reverse mode and mobile charger.

Hero Comfort Series AE-29

The Hero Comfort Series AE-29 electric scooter sports a LED headlamp and offers IOT features (first-in-segment) such as mobile app, anti-theft smart lock, Bluetooth connectivity, digital instrument cluster, reverse facility and walk assist. It’s claimed to deliver a top speed of 55kmph and a range of 80km on a single charge.

The Hero AE-3 trike uses a lithium-ion 48V/3kWh battery and promises a range of 100km on a single charge. It takes 5 hours to get fully charged and delivers a top speed of 80kmph. It has a self-standing Gyroscopic stability feature, a digital instrument console, geofencing, real-time tracking, GPS, GPRS, reverse assist at 26 kmph, mobile charger, mobile app and walk assist.
