Chinese automaker, Great Wall Motors is all set to enter the Indian auto market in 2020. The company has decided to introduce its SUV brand – Haval to start its India innings. Adding to it, GWM has opted the grand Auto Expo 2020 event to mark its debut in our market. The company will showcase its SUV range at the upcoming auto event.

The first Great Wall Motors product for our market will be the Haval H6 SUV, which will be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. The SUV has already been spotted multiple times while testing on the Indian roads. The SUV will directly rival the likes of the MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass and the Mahindra XUV500. It is expected that the SUV could go on sale in the country in the late 2020 or early 2021.

Haval H6 India Launch

In terms of styling, the Haval H6 premium SUV comes with signature horizontal chrome slat grille and twin projector headlamps. The SUV is fitted with round-shaped fog lamps in chrome housing and prominent body cladding all around the body to offer rugged feel. The Chinese-spec H6 rides on 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and similar could be offered with the India-spec model.

The rear of the Haval H6 comes equipped with LED tail-lamps, which are connected by a chrome strip. There is a dual-exhaust system with a sporty bumper. Inside the cabin, the H6 SUV is equipped with several high-end features including a 9-inch MP5 touchscreen infotainment system with modern connectivity features, and a 12.3-inch all-digital instrument console. Other features include dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, powered front seats and a heated steering wheel.

The Haval H6 premium SUV is available with 2 petrol engines – a 1.5-litre T-GDI and a 2.0-litre T-GDI. While the former is capable of producing 163PS of power and 280Nm of torque, the 2.0L unit is good for 190PS and 340Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
