GWM Haval SUVs at Auto Expo 2020

Great Wall Motors, Chinese auto-major has officially announced to enter the Indian market by 2020-21. The company will introduce its SUV brand – Haval to start its India innings. Adding to it, GWM will also showcase the ORA R1 pure electric compact city car. This is the world’s cheapest electric car, and could be launched in our market. Here is a list of Haval SUVs that will make India debut at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo –

Haval H4

Haval H4 SUV India

GWM is reportedly to launch the Haval H4 compact SUV as its first model in our market. It will directly rival the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and the Nissan Kicks. Dimensionally, the H4 SUV is 4,430mm long, 1,845mm wide and 1,695mm tall, and has a wheelbase iof 2,660mm. In the Chinese market, the SUV is available with 2 turbocharged petrol engines – a 137bhp, 1.3-litre and a 166bhp, 1.5-litre. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Haval H6

Haval H6 SUV

This is one SUV from Haval motors that has been spotted multiple times while testing on the Indian roads. Set to make India debut at the 2020 Auto Expo, the new Haval H6 SUV will challenge the likes of the Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500 and the MG Hector. It is available with 2 petrol engines – a 1.5-litre T-GDI and a 2.0-litre T-GDI. While the former is capable of producing 163PS of power and 280Nm of torque, the 2.0L unit is good for 190PS and 340Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Haval H9

Great Wall Motors has confirmed that the Haval H9 premium SUV will be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. The body-on-frame SUV will challenge the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Skoda Kodiaq and the upcoming MG Maxus D90 based SUV. Powering the Haval H9 is a 2.0-litre inline, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that dishes out 215bhp and 324Nm of torque. The company could introduce the diesel engine option with the India-spec model. In terms of proportions, the Haval H9 is 4,856mm in length, 1,926mm in width and 1,900mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,800mm.
