In order to capitalize on the festive season, car makers are introducing special editions and facelifts of their popular models in the country. If media reports are to be believed, General Motors will relaunch the Chevrolet Sail sedan and hatchback this month. Both models will get minor tweaks to keep things fresh in the market. The majority of the changes are expected to be offered on the interior section of the cars.

According to Indian Autos Blog, the company would discontinue the U-VA badging from the Sail hatchback. Inside, the Sail twins likely to get a new dual-tone black and beige interior scheme. Moreover, the company will add better quality doors and dashboard trims. Adding to it, the vehicle would also get chrome treatment and a newly-styled steering wheel with the Chevy’s bow-tie badging in a prominent gold colour. At the back, the Sail sedan is likely to feature a chrome strip on the bootlid. The fog lamps will also get chrome surrounds.

Under the bonnet, the Sail twins will get the same 1.2L petrol and 1.3L multi-jet motor. While the gasoline engine produces 85bhp of power and 113Nm of torque, the oil burner is capable of producing 77bhp and 205Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
