Geeta Phogat has made India proud with her achievements by winning multiple Wrestling Championships. She recently got into limelight with ‘Dangal’ movie that was based on the struggle and success story of her life. The 28-year old freestyle wrestler has purchased the new Range Rover Evoque SUV. She shared a few pictures on social media while taking the delivery of the SUV with her husband Pawan Kumar. She shared her excitement with a quote – “Hard work always pays off love with our new car – Range Rover Evoque”.
Geeta Phogat was the first Indian women to win the Gold medal in women’s wrestling at the Commonwealth Games in 2010. She was also the Gold medal winner at the 2009 Commonwealth Wrestling Championship in Delhi and 2012 Summer Olympic s in Kazakhstan. Painted in dual-tone Red and Black scheme, the model she purchased appears to be the Range Rover Evoque HSE variant. The Evoque has won over 170 International design awards. The SUV makes a commanding presence with bold and muscular stance. Face of the car has aggressive appeal thanks to its sharp projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, sporty grille with chrome highlights and signature badge, a wide central airdam, a silver skid plate and a hefty bumper.
Interior of the Range Rover Evoque is a sheer British beauty. Brimming with advanced comfort and entertainment features, the SUV offers high-end luxury feel. Interestingly, the Range Rover Evoque is the first SUV from the British carmaker in India to get an Ingenium series engine. Powering this massive machine is a 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel motor paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV supports a 4-wheel-drive system. Its power and torque outputs stand at 177bhp and 430Nm respectively. Currently, the Range Rover Evoque carline comes in five variants priced between Rs 42.36 lakh – Rs 56.96 lakh (e-showroom).
