Four new cars launching in February, 2015

While the January is an action packed month for Indian auto industry, the February, 2015 will bring you more exciting stuff. The Indian auto market will see at least four new cars next month. Starting from entry level sedan, our market will see the launch of ultra luxury car. Here is a list of upcoming cars in the Indian car market in February, 2015.

 

Maruti Swift Dzire facelift: The updated Swift Dzire facelift has been spotted several times during its test rounds on Indian roads. The vehicle will share most of its changes with its hatchback sibling. It gets new front fascia with large chrome grille, slightly tweaked sweptback headlamps, all-new bumper, and new chrome enclosure for fog lamps and dark inserts for the headlamps. It features new 10-spoke alloy wheels, keyless access button on door handle, new blue shade and slightly modified rear bumper. Inside the cabin, the updated Dzire will get new music system with Bluetooth, multi-functional steering wheel, push button start, i-Key entry, etc. It will get the same petrol and diesel engines, but are tuned to increase mileage by around 10 per cent.

Hyundai Verna Facelift: The South Korean automaker will launch the updated Verna on February 16, 2015. The sedan gets changes to both styling and mechanics. It features new front fascia with new grille, modified headlamps with projectors, new fog lamps with LED surrounds, restyled tail lamps with integrated LEDs, new reflectors on rear bumpers and newly designed alloy wheels. The company will also make changes to its suspension mechanism, as the current model has been criticized for its handling and steering feel.

New Volkswagen Jetta: The updated Jetta was first unveiled at the 2014 New York Motor Show, and will be launched in the Indian car market on 17th of February. The vehicle gets new front with new triple-slat chrome grille, modified grille with integrated LED daytime running lamps, and restyled bumper with new fog lamp enclosures. Other additions include new set of alloy wheels, LED tail lamp cluster and modified bumper. Inside is the new three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, new music system with piano black surrounds and new upholstery.

New 2015 Volkswagen Jetta

BMW i8 Plug-in Hybrid: World’s first car to feature laser headlamps, the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid sportscar will hit the Indian car market on February, 18. It will serve as a flagship product in the country. Under the bonnet is the 1.5-litre three-cylinder twin scroll turbo engine that is good for 231bhp and 320Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. The front wheels of the car are paired to an electric motor via a two-stage automatic box, which is good for 131bhp of power. And there is a 5kWh lithium-ion battery on offer. The combined power output of 362bhp and 570Nm of peak torque.
