Ford to launch 3 brand new SUVs in the Indian market by 2022.

We informed you earlier that Ford is working on 3 all-new SUVs for the Indian market, which will be launched by 2022. The company will introduce an all-new C-SUV, which is developed in collaboration with Mahindra & Mahindra. Adding to it, the American giant is developing 2 SUVs – a Hyundai Creta rival and an all-new sub-4 meter SUV. Ford has already started working on an all-new SUV, which could serve as the EcoSport replacement in India as well as international markets.

A new rendering, courtesy Kleber Silva on Behance, reveals the possible styling of the upcoming Ford compact SUV, which will eventually replace the EcoSport. The new SUV for the Indian market could utilise the SsangYong X100 platform, which also underpins the newly launched Mahindra XUV300 and the SsangYong Tivoli. Adding to it, the SUV could also use the Mahindra’s 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol engines.

Ford is currently testing an all-new SUV on the foreign land. The vehicle has been spotted multiple times, which has a sleeker profile. The global model will be based on the Ford Fiesta platform. The rendered image has the Freestyle-like front design. In fact, the grille, headlamp and bumper design seems identical to the crossover sibling. Also See – Ford’s C-SUV officially announced

The rendering has black cladding on the lower body of the panels. The prominent shoulder line moves upward to meet the roof and the C-pillar. The sloping roofline gives it a crossover-ish profile. The roof has been painted white and gets black rails over it. The SUV gets multi-spoke alloy wheels. The front bumper comes with silver skid plate. The render image also gets electric sunroof, which is similar to that of the EcoSport.
