Ford Freestyle Gets Expensive By Up To Rs 19,000

Prices of the Ford Freestyle Trend and Titanium+ diesel trims remain unchanged.

Ford India has increased prices of the Freestyle cross-hatch by up to Rs 19,000. Now, the petrol variants of the crossover are available in the price range of Rs 5.23 lakh – Rs 7.03 lakh and the diesel models cost between Rs 6.18 lakh – Rs 7.89 lakh. Interestingly, the prices of the Ford Freestyle Trend and Titanium+ diesel trims remain unchanged – i.e. Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 7.89 lakh – respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The entry-level Ambiente petrol variant of the Ford Freestyle gets pricier by Rs 14,000, while the Trend and Titanium trims witnessed price hike up to Rs 10,000 and Rs 19,000 respectively. The range-topping petrol model saw the marginal price jump of Rs 9,000. Reports in media suggest that the American carmaker will soon give a minor update to the Freestyle crossover. The carline will also receive a new Ruby Red colour scheme. The updated version of the cross-hatch is likely to go on sale in coming months (i.e. near around festive season).

Engine setup of the Ford Freestyle includes a new 1.2L, 3-cylinder Dragon family petrol and a 1.5L diesel unit. While the former delivers power worth 95bhp against 120Nm of torque, the latter makes 99bhp against a peak torque of 215Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox comes as standard across the carline.
