After revealing the new generation Ka hatchback (Known as Figo in India), Ford Brazil has now fully revealed the production version Ka+ sedan (Ford Figo sedan) via social media platform. The small sedan will go on sale in the Brazilian market in August and it will be manufactured at the company’s manufacturing unit in Camacari, Bahia. While the Indian model will be a sub-4 metre car, the Ford Ka+ sedan is a tad longer than 4m. [More Pictures of Ford Figo sedan]
Like the Ford EcoSport, the Ka+ sedan will first go on sale in Brazil than it will go to other parts of the world. This model will come to India by early next year and will replace the aging Classic sedan. The sedan looks identical to the concept unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo; however, the aerodynamic curves and creases are slightly modified to make it road compatible. This model features trapezoidal grille (Aston-Martin like grille) which is complemented by sweptback headlamps.
Inside, the Ka+ sedan resembles the Fiesta and other Ford’s. The centre console and instrument console in directly lifted from Fiesta. It is equipped with multi-functional steering wheel which sports Bluetooth and audio controls.
The Brazilian model will be powered by a 1.0-litre 3-pot flex-fuel engine that produces 85bhp and a peak torque of 105Nm. The top-spec model is powered by the 1.5-litre engine that produces 111bhp.
