Ford EcoSport Titanium Petrol Gets New Alloys Ahead of Facelift Launch

It seems that Ford India has silently updated the EcoSport’s top-selling Titanium petrol variant in the country. Recently, the Ford EcoSport Titanium petrol variant was spotted with the new set of alloy wheels, borrowed from the S trim. The Titanium diesel, however, continues to come with the previously offered alloy wheels. At present, the Titanium petrol and diesel models are available at Rs 9.99 lakh. Talking about the features, the Ford EcoSport Titanium trim comes with the chrome front grille, front and rear bumper appliqué, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, fog lamps, R16 alloy wheels, roof rails, electrically doldable ORVMs, leather wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electric sunroof, keyless entry with push button start/stop, One-touch driver side operation on power windows, rear power outlet, rear parcel tray, electronic stability control, hill start assist and traction control.

Currently, the Ford EcoSport comes with the 1.5L, 3-cylinder petrol and 1.5L diesel engines delivering power worth 120bhp with 149Nm and 99bhp with 215Nm respectively. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the model lineup. The 1.5L petrol is available with an optional 6-speed automatic transmission. The same engine setup is likely to be offered on the upcoming EcoSport facelift that was recently spotted testing in the country.

The updated EcoSport is likely to receive a few noticeable changes inside and out. Most of the design updates will be made at the front end. It will get new inverted L-shaped DRLs integrated on the lower bumper, newly-designed grille, bumper and circular fog lamps. The compact SUV might get the upgraded SYNC 3 infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It might also get the connected car features and new seat upholstery.
