Ford EcoSport To Get A New TouchScreen System, Brochure & Prices Leaked

Ford EcoSport Compact SUV

The new touchscreen system will be offered only on the Ford EcoSport Titanium + variant powered by 1.5-litre and 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine.

While the first facelift of the Ford EcoSport is due for this festive season, Ford India is set to update the current model of the compact SUV with some new features. Though, the company hasn’t made any official announcement on the same. Good folks at Team-BHP have managed to get their hands on the updated Ford EcoSport brochure scans.

The leaked scans reveal that the EcoSport will receive a new 8-inch touchscreen system that will be reserved for the tops-spec Titanium + variant powered by 1.5-litre and 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine. Instead of Ford’s SYNC system, there will be a custom infotainment system with satellite navigation, door ajar warning, DVD player and rear view camera.

Besides this exclusive feature, Ford has also pulled out several features across the EcoSport range. The Trend and Trend + grades will be devoid of passenger seat storage box, reclining rear seats and 60:40 split for rear seats. The base trim will also miss out on the rear defogger, driver seat height adjustment system, vanity lamp and rear wash & wipe. Read – Ford EcoSport Vs Vitara Brezza Vs TUV300

While the Trend + trim will get black plastic roof rails instead of silver, the passenger seat storage box will be available exclusively on the top-end Titanium grades. Other features that will cut out from the list include leather-wrapped handbrake & gear shift knob, driver seat armrest, cooled glove box, lumbar support and chrome scuff plates.

Coming to the pricing, the new Ford EcoSport Titanium+ will see a price hike of Rs 20,000. Currently, the Ford EcoSport 1.5 TDCi and 1.0L EcoBoost Titanium+ variants are available at Rs 9.82 and Rs 9.52 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
