Ford India has silently launched the 2014 Ford Endeavour SUV in the Indian car market. Introduces in three variants, the updated model is priced at Rs. 19.83 lakh for the base variant. The new 2014 Endeavour gets slight changes to the exteriors, while the interior updates remain minimal. This could be the last facelift version of current Endeavour in India, as the company recently unveiled the new generation SUV at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. It is expected to come India by the 2015-16.
Speaking at the 2014 Ford Endeavour launch in Chandigarh, Nigel Harris, President Ford India said, “At Ford, we are committed to delighting customers through continuous improvements in our products. Endeavour is a trusted nameplate and holds a special place in Ford India’s product portfolio. It has remained a vehicle of choice for customers who desire a dependable, muscular, rugged yet comfortable and safe SUV. The 2014 Ford Endeavour has been made more stylish, dynamic and comfortable while retaining its core DNA of an all-terrain vehicle”.
On the exteriors, the Ford Endeavour facelift features a new front grille which is flanked by new sleek headlamps. The bumper gets skid plate and newly designed fog lamp bezel which offers a sporty feel to it. The flared wheel arches have been fitted to 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the vehicle remains unchanged; however, it now features new leather seats. The SUV is equipped with high end features such as touch enable SATNAV entertainment system with Navigation Bluetooth audio control and reverse parking camera.
Under the hood, the vehicle remains untouched and it continues to be powered by the same 3.0-litre Duratorq TDCi and 2.5L Duratorq TDCi engines. While the former develops 156PS of top power and 380Nm of torque, the 2.5L engine churns 141bhp and 330Nm of torque.
