Ford Bronco To Unveil On July 9, 2020; Jeep Wrangler Rival

The much-awaited new-gen Ford Bronco SUV will debut on July 9, 2020 – according to Ford’s official Instagram account. The teaser shows a desert with the car’s logo and captions like 7/9/20 and Wild Returns, and #BuiltWild. The SUV will be launched in the United States in 2021. The Bronco will also be launched in some markets of South Africa and Europe.

The new Broonco was planned to be unveiled at the 2020 New York Motor Show in March. The upcoming Ford Bronco will be positioned against the popular Jeep Wrangler. It will be based on a body on a chassis instead of a monoblock construction. The SUV is also likely to feature a new suspension setup for improved off-road capabilities. The company will also offer multiple customisation options including hardtop roof, removable doors and two and four-doors.

The exact engine specifications of the upcoming Ford Bronco are yet to be revealed. It could receive the 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine that powers the North American version of the Ranger pickup. This engine is capable of producing 273bhp of power and 420Nm of torque. The new SUV could receive a 2.7-litre V6 biturbo engine from the F-150, which offers 329bhp and 540Nm of torque.

The company could also introduce the diesel version of the Bronco SUV. The transmission options are likely to include a 10-speed automatic and a 7-speed manual. More details about the upcoming Ford Bronco will be revealed on July 9, 2020.  Ford had also shared teaser video revealing the capabilities of the upcoming Bronco that is facing a lot of mud and steep incline. This video also shows three different prototypes of the Bronco – two four-door and one two-door.

Ford will also launch the Bronco Sport mid-sized SUV, which will be positioned against the Jeep Compass. The Bronco Sport will be based on the Escape platform. It will be launched in the United States in the end of this year. The engine options for the SUV will include a 150bhp, 1.5L EcoBoost and a 250bhp, 2.5L EcoBoost.
