Force Urbania VAN Launch Price Rs 28.99 Lakh; 11, 14, 18-Seater

Force Motors, the Pune based automaker has recently showcased its next generation shared mobility platform as Urbania. The new Force Urbania was revealed at the Dealers meet held at Indore where select dealers from India and abroad were invited for a plant visit and test rides. The new Van is available in 3 variants – Short Wheelbase, Medium Wheelbase and Long Wheelbase.

Force Urbania

The medium wheelbase variant of the new Van is priced at Rs 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Short wheelbase model offers seat for 10 adults + 1 driver, while the medium wheelbase variant accommodates 13 adults + driver. The Long wheelbase model offers seat for 17 adults excluding driver. Interested buyers can book the new Force Urbania van at select Force Motors Commercial Vehicle dealers at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.

For people not in the know, Force Motors had showcased the T1N shared mobility van at the Auto Expo 2020. It was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Serial production of the new Urbania has also been commenced at the new state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities created for this platform. The company has invested over Rs 1000 crores to develop the modular monocoque van and the setting up of new state-of-the art manufacturing facility.

Force Urbania Interior

The Force Urbania is the first vehicle in its category that offers crash and rollover compliance with airbags for driver and co-driver even though current Indian legislation does not mandate them. Adding to it, the Van comes with large ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels with ESP, ABS, EBD and ETDC.

In terms of features, the Urbania gets tilt & telescopic adjustable steering, dashboard mounted gear lever, a 7-inch LCD touchscreen with built-in bluetooth & camera inputs, USB mirroring for Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, 6/8 speaker acoustics system, central locking, power windows, rear park assistance, engine start-stop system, reclining seats, sealed panoramic windows, individual reading lamps & USB ports, daytime running LED lamps, LED tail-lamps, etc.

The Urbania also gets segment-first independent front suspension with transverse springs. It is powered by the Mercedes-sourced derived 115bhp, BS6 compliant, Common Rail Diesel engine offering peak torque of 350Nm between 1400 to 2200rpm.
