The 2019 Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill was recently passed in the Rajya Sabha cabinet. The bill focuses on higher penalties for traffic violations along with protection of good samaritans, third party insurance, computerised driving test, motor vehicle accident fund, road safety boards and vehicle recalls. It also proposes changes to improve vehicle fitness standards and reduce corruption at the RTO.

Here’s a new, complete list of the traffic violation penalties and punishments that not only get your license suspended, but make a big hole in your pocket as well.
