First Spy Pictures Of 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Emerged
Jeep India is gearing up to launch the new-generation Wrangler on 9th August, 2019. The American SUV maker will also bring in the next-generation Grand Cherokee sometime in 2021. While the official launch of the vehicle is quite so far, its first spy pictures have surfaced online.
The spotted prototype was heavily camouflaged covering all design and interior details. Though, it confirms that the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be bigger and beefier than the existing model.
Sharing its platform with the Alfa Romeo, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee is likely to feature a 7-solt grille, bigger multi-spoke black alloys, larger ORVMs and revised LED taillamps with new horizontal units. The SUV’s new model will sit on a longer wheelbase that means it will have more legroom to offer.
We have reported earlier that the new Grand Cherokee might get an additional third row seats, making it a 7-seater model. In India, however, it will continue to come with 5-seats layout. Interestingly, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be the company’s first product to feature the Level-2 self-driving function along with a pack of new features.
As far as engines are concerned, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee will make use of a new 2.0L, 4-cylinder direct-injection inline diesel engine. Rumour has it that the SUV will come with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The SUV lineup will be spread across 5 trims – Latitude, Latitude Plus, Limited, Overland and the Trail Rated Trailhawk.
