While other car manufacturers have announced price hike across their entire product lineup, Fiat India has proposed a hefty price cut up to Rs 77,000. Models that have received price cut include – Fiat Punto Evo, Avventura and Linea. As pre the revised price list, the Fiat Punto Evo is now cheaper by close to 7% and Linea by up to 7.3%. The Punto Eco is now available between Rs 5.45 lakh – Rs 7.55 lakh, which is around Rs 40568 to Rs 37263 less than the older figures.
Similarly, the Fiat Avventura and Linea prices have been reduced up to Rs 37678 to Rs 53556 and Rs 57126 to Rs 77121 respectively. Now, the Avventura prices fall between Rs 9.99 lakh – Rs 8.75 lakh and the Linea costs between Rs 7.25 – Rs 9.99 lakh. One must note the revised price list is effective from January 2, 2017. In November 2016, Fiat India registered the lowest ever monthly sales of 266 units breakup of which includes 232 units of Punto + Evo + Avventura, 26 units of Linea and 8 units of Abarth). Commenting on the price cut, Kevin Flynn – President and Managing Director, FCA India said, “2017 is a significant year for FCA as we enter a new phase of growth with both our brands – Fiat and Jeep. We want to make this the year of our transformation in our approach towards engaging with existing customers and winning new ones. This thought led us to start the new year by enhancing the value proposition on our feature-rich Linea and Punto EVO, as the first step. This year, we will move the needle on our sales and service network for which we have started implementing significant changes.”
