Fiat India will launch the much-awaited Avventura crossover hatchback by festive season. The company has recently revealed the teaser image of the Avventura crossover and this time, Fiat has released the new trailer video.

The Fiat Avventura is basically a sportier version of the Punto. The crossover hatchback gets some aggressive body parts and higher ground clearance of 210mm, which give it a sporty stance. Unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show as pre-production model, the Avventura looks like a jagged up version of the Punto hatch. Interestingly, the production version model appears identical to the concept shown back in February.
The Fiat Avventura gets projector headlights, tailgate mounted spare wheels, extra body cladding, skid guards, roof rails and large alloy wheels. The Avventura crossover will be manufactured at the company’s Ranjangaon manufacturing unit and it will be exported to other nations as well. It will compete against the likes of Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo.
The Fiat Avventura crossover hatch will share its engine lineup with the soon to be launched Punto facelift. The petrol version is powered by a 1.4-litre engine that develops 89bhp while the oil burner is the 1.3-litre Multi-jet engine that produces 91bhp. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a six-speed gear shifter or a standard five-speed manual transmission.
