We first informed you about Fiat’s plans of launching the Avventura crossover SUV in the first week of October and now we have more concrete information on the same. This time, details of its engine specifications and dimesnions have emerged as this CUV inches closer to its much anticipated launch.
It has been known that Fiat wouldn’t introduce the smaller 1.2L petrol engine with the crossover; instead it would be offered with the 1.4L petrol motor which would belt out a maximum power output of 89 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the diesel variants would in-house a 1.3L MJD engine which will be developing a higher state of power and torque – 92bhp and 209Nm. Coming to the dimensions, the company engineers have worked their heart out to provide the CUV a decent ground clearance of 205mm as compared to Punto EVO’s 185mm. In order to spice up the sportiness of the SUV, Fiat has also installed some additional elements such as externally-mounted spare wheel, roof rails, diamond-cut alloy wheels and nudge guards.
The interiors are directly sourced from the elder sibling Punto EVO. It wouldn’t be long before the company makes an official announcement regarding the commencement of advance bookings for the crossover SUV. It would be pitted against the likes of Volkswagen CrossPolo and Toyota Etios Cross. It is expected to be priced in a bracket of Rs. 8- 10 Lakhs.
