Fiat India is trying hard to create some buzz about the upcoming Avventura crossover hatchback. The company has already started taking pre-orders for the CUV (Contemporary Urban Vehicle) and is aiming to capitalize on the festive mood of Indian buyers. In order to reach maximum buyers, the company has put the vehicle on display for customer previews across three metro cities including Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi. The company is displaying the Avventura at the Infiniti mall in Mumbai, Orion Mall in Bangalore and the DLF Saket mall in Delhi. With the festive season around the corner, the company aims to engage with customers reaching at Malls for shopping. Few days back, the similar strategy was adopted by Honda Cars India that promoted the Mobilio MPV through corporate malls across India.
Based on the Punto Evo platform, the Avventura crossover gets several upgrades to offer rugged road presence. The vehicle features restyled front bumper, black plastic cladding all around the car, tail-gate mounted spare wheel, skid guards, roof rails, etc to give aggressive look. The crossover hatchback comes with a large ground clearance of 205mm which is around 15mm more than the Punto Evo. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to 16-inch alloy wheels.
The Contemporary Urban Vehicle would be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options. The petrol version would get 1.4-litre motor producing 89bhp and 209Nm of torque, while the oil burner is the tried & trusted 1.3L multijet motor that produces 92bhp and 209Nm of torque.
