Fiat India is gearing up to launch the much-awaited Avventura pseudo crossover in the country. The bookings for the crossover hatch have already been commenced, while the deliveries are expected to commence from October. The upcoming CUV (Contemporary Urban Vehicle) will be offered in six exterior colours including Zafferano Orange, Bronzo Tan, Exotica Red, Minimal Grey, Hip-Hop Black and Vocal Grey. The Fiat Avventura CUV will be launched in total of five variants- three diesel and two petrol. The petrol variant of the car will be powered by a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that is capable of producing a top power output of 89bhp and a peak torque of 115Nm. The base Active and mid-level Dyanmic trims will come in petrol version only. The oil burner of the CUV is the 1.3-litre multi-jet motor, which is available in three trim levels- Active, Dynamic and Emotion trims. This crossover hatchback will get a large ground clearance of 205mm, which is around 20mm more than the Punto Evo. The company has added externally-mounted spare wheel, roof rails, body cladding, diamond-cut alloy wheels and nudge guards. The front fascia of the Avventura resembles the Punto Evo hatchback. It gets projector headlamps, skid guard and fog lamps. It will compete against the likes of Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo. The vehicle is likely to be priced in the range of Rs. 6.5-8 lakh.
