Fiat has finally launched the much-awaited Fiat Avventura crossover at Rs. The Punto based pseudo crossover is available in three trim levels- Active, Dynamic and Emotion out of which, the petrol is offered on Active and Dynamic trims.

The Fiat Avventura CUV (Contemporary Utility Vehicle) is equipped with several goodies. As standard, the crossover features central locking, foldable key, external spare wheel and others. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to 16-inch alloy wheels. Instead of storage space over central air conditioner, the crossover features three gauges including compass and inclinometer.
The top-of-the line Emotion trim gets good safety and security features including ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution), airbags for driver and co-driver, engine immobilizer, etc.
Set to rival Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo, the Avventura is available in both petrol and diesel guise. The gasoline model gets the 1.4-litre ‘FIRE’ unit that churns out a maximum power output of 90PS at 6,000rpm and 115Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. Its oil burner is the 1.3-litre ‘Multi-Jet’ motor that develops 90PS at 4000rpm and 209Nm of torque at 2,000rpm. Both engines are paired to a five-speed manual transmission that transmits the power to front wheels of the car. While the petrol motor returns a decent mileage of 14.4kmpl, the oil burner delivers 20.5kmpl of fuel economy.

Based on the Punto Evo platform, the Fiat Avventura crossover gets several updates which make it look sportier. The crossover sports restyled front bumper, black plastic cladding all around the car, tail-gate mounted spare wheel, skid guards, roof rails, etc. The vehicle features a large ground clearance of 205mm, which is about 15mm more than the hatchback sibling.
The Fiat Avventura crossover is available in six exciting exterior shades including Zafferano Orange, Bronzo Tan, Exotica Red, Minimal Grey, Hip-Hop Black and Vocal Grey.
