Fiat has finally rolled out the Abarth Punto and Abarth Avventura in India at Rs. 9.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) . Both the vehicles are based on the same platform, and share several components, and engine. Similar to the Abarth Punto, the Fiat Abarth Avventura receives significant cosmetic and mechanical updates.
Powering this performance crossover is a 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine that puts out a maximum power of 140bhp and 210Nm of torque. Transmitting power to the front wheels is a 5-speed manual transmission. This powertrain is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 17.1kmpl (ARAI-rated figure). The vehicle takes 9.9 seconds to ahcieve 0-100kmph. Since the Fiat Abarth Avventura is more powerful than its rivals, it doesn’t have any direct competition in its segment.

Just so you know, the Fiat Avventura Abarth had made its formal public appearance at the recently-concluded 2015 Raid De Himalaya. Though the car participated in the event was camouflaged as a terrain challenger with multiple Raid de Himalaya stickers, orange exterior paint and black side cladding, and no Abarth badges.
Design & Styling
The Fiat Avventura Abarth shares several equipment and styling cues with the Abarth Punto. Similar to its hatchback sibling, it features signature Abarth and T-Jet badging, grille in contrast horizontal slats, Abarth decals on sides and a sporty rear design. The car also receives flared wheel arches equipped with Scorpion Sting design 16-inches alloy wheels. The Abarth Avventura is offered in three exterior paint options – White, Red and Orange.
Inside the cabin, the car gets new seat upholstery and Abarth badge on steering wheel. The vehicle also comes equipped with integrated audio system with Bluetooth music streaming, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, electric boot release, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear lever, height adjustable driver seat, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, high terrain gauges, tilt steering, ambient lighting, etc. The company has stiffened the crossover’s suspension setup and lowered its ride height (20mm) to improve its handling and performance. The vehicle draws its braking power from front and rear disc brakes.
