Ferrari Portofino Launched In India; Priced At Rs 3.5 Crore

The Ferrari Portofino convertible is 80kg lighter and 35% stiffer than its predecessor.

Ferrari, the Italian luxury supercar manufacturer, has introduced the Portofino convertible in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 3.5 crore (ex-showroom, India), the Ferrari Portofino 2+2 GT will face challenge from the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet, Lamborghini Huracan Spyder and Audi R8 Spyder. Power for the Ferrari Portofino comes from a 3.9-litre twin turbo V8 engine that’s good enough for 600bhp at 7500rpm and 760Nm of torque at 5250rpm. It’s the same powertrain that does duty in the Ferrari California T, but it’s has been completely revised. The Portofino can do 0-100kmph in 3.5 seconds, and is able to attain a top speed of over 320kmph. It has a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.

The Ferrari Portofino is based on a new chassis that’s claimed to be 80kg lighter and 35 percent stiffer than its predecessor. Its torsional rigidity is also better than before. Upfront, the Ferrari Portofino features boomerang shaped LED headlamps and sculpted front end. Other design highlights include a carbon fibre side skirt, twin tail lamps, rear wheel arch haunches, a quad exhaust setup and a contoured boot lid.

Ferrari Portofino India Specs

The metal-folding roof of the convertible opens and closes in 14 seconds at speed of up to 40kmph. The Ferrari Portofino features a large centrally mounted 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay connectivity. Features such as 18-way electrically adjustable seats and an optional 8.8 touchscreen for passenger add more to its comfort level.
