FB Mondial, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer might enter the Indian two-wheeler market in near future. The reason we say this is because of the fact that one of its motorcycles – FB Mondial HPS 125 (Hipster) – was recently caught on camera in Pune. The imported unit could have been brought here for a homologation purpose. However, no official details about the company’s plan and product are available yet.
The Bologan Italy-based bikemaker is world renowned for its high-quality performance motorcycles with small displacement powertrains. The ‘FB’ stands for ‘Fratelli Boselli’ named after the noble family from the Milan area. Each motorcycle of FB Mondial is hand crafted. The company produces around 1,000 to 2,000 units per year. The FB Mondial HPS 125 (Hipster) was introduced in global markets previous year. Interestingly, the HPS 125 is the first cafe racer from the Italian bikemaker to use a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine boosted with double overhead cams and fuel injection technology. This powertrain has been sourced from the Piaggio Group. Its power and torque figures stand at 15bhp at 9,750rpm and 10.5Nm at 8,000rpm respectively. This motor is linked to a 6-speed gearbox unit.

Proportionally, the FB Mondial HPS 125 (Hipster) measures 2,016mm in length, 765mm in width and 1,060mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1,370mm and a ground clearance of 155mm. The bike carries a dry weight of 130kgs, and offers a seat height of 785mm. It has fuel capacity of 9-litres.
